Actually, I'm waiting for the iPad 3 mainly because of its higher resolution screen. As a moderately crazed movie fan, I have to have full HD. But I also want to try out an iPad as an alternative to a laptop, since in recent years I have been getting more mileage out of my iPod Touch and HTC Android smartphone.

I had one and it was stolen/lost :(. I'd like to replace it, but it's expensive! I am trying out an android-based 7" tablet that only cost $80 to see if it can compare. I'm afraid, though, it will be fine for Angry Birds for the kids, but fall short on performance and apps for workplace needs. We'll see...
